I hear ya! Nothing tastes as good as Pain free(inflammation free)FEELS!
Why no Humus(chick peas)? I'm GF, dairy free, all organic but, eat humus! Why does it cause inflammation? Thanks

    1. Anonymous, I follow a version of the Paleo diet called Autiommune Protocol (AIP). The link Phoenix provided is a great one, but you can also go to The Paleo Mom, if you'd like to know more about the protocol. She's a great resource.

Some people need to get to rock bottom before they truly believe that some foods will seriously harm their heath. Wait till you hit your 50's. That's when the real fun begins. Better yet--don't wait. Live as well as you can for as long as you can.

    1. Awesome Phoenix! I spent a couple years in Butte in my late teens-early 20's. It's such a fun place to be at that age. Billings is my home turf though. Beautiful city. And yes, anything Montana makes me smile too. My first love is the last best place! 😉

The whole9life folks also say if you have a favorite that is not paleo - when you have it - enjoy it and continue on feeding yourself nutrient rich real foods. It made a lot of sense when Dallin said it.

    1. Anonymous, I also think it makes alot of sense, but I am using Paleo (an adaption called Autoimmune Protocol) to manage three autoimmune diseases, namely Celiac. For me, occasionally enjoying an old favorite is out . . . unless I want to be sick, sometimes for weeks.

  3. Thanks for this post. I need to do just as you said and learn to separate the memories from the food and just enjoy the memories. I, too, cannot indulge in a favorite. I must only eat what agrees with my body's system or I am sick for days. I am hoping that I can form new food memories with a well body included!

  4. I've never considered the amnesia concept. This is a fabulous post. Thank you for verbalizing so much of what I never realized I felt, until now!
